Vinyasa Yoga (basic experience recommended)
These classes incorporate Vinyasa (flowing movement linked by breath), a physically invigorating and dynamic form of Hatha Yoga rooted in, although not limited to, the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition. Emphasis is on expanding awareness and promoting mindfulness to reveal peace and restore balance. Focus on breath with purify the body and detoxify the mind.
Yin ~ Yang Yoga (basic experience recommended)
This delightful fusion of yoga styles provides balance and strength. The yang-style vinyasa aspect of the class will be both challenging and creative. The heart will soar through the rhythmic intensity of breath matched with movement. Prana will be further activated, and mobility restored through static holding of yin yoga postures. The result is a resilient body and a poised mind.
Yin Yoga (no experience necessary)
Yin Yoga moves the practitioner beyond the muscles, targeting the dense connective tissues, of the lower spine, hips, pelvis and hamstrings. During this class the postures will be held from 3-10 minutes resulting in a deep release of habitual holding patterns in the physical body, while mindfulness exploration will fluctuate through all levels of the physical/mental/spiritual self. Almost all postures are practiced on the floor. This practice will benefit everyone, from beginner to advanced, especially those with active lives (cyclists, runners, Vinyasa/Ashtanga Yoga practitioners). Expect the unexpected; it will blow your mind.
Deep Yoga Fusion (Open to all levels)
This class aims to build physical strength and flexibility in a manner that is challenging, yet accessible to all levels. Expect to be invigorated through a creatively sequenced vinyasa flow before moving into a session of deep hip opening. The class will culminate with more restorative postures, pranayama and self-reflection
